New Installs
Whether it is time to replace an old system, or you are looking to install a stove or fireplace for the first time, you can trust Upstate Chimney to install your new system with care.

Masonry Repair
Upstate Chimney Professionals specializes in masonry repair of brick, stone, and veneered chimneys and hearths. Contact Upstate Chimney for an estimate on repointing, tuck pointing, relaying, or installing your masonry chimney and/or fireplace.

Many chimneys that have been previously surfaced over time develop cracks and flaking. Many bare concrete block chimneys face rapid deterioration and moisture issues. Upstate Chimney can fix these issues by resurfacing your chimney the right way- by underlaying steel mesh lath and applying texturized surface bonding cement (in your choice of color!), or veneer, to protect bare concrete block chimneys.

Flashing Repair
A lot of times, leaks come from deterioration in the flashing where the chimney meets the roof. Upstate Chimney offers options to solve your leak issue, meeting you where you're at. Need a completely viable, immediate and cost efficient way to fix the leak? A tri-layer Chimney Saver Flash Seal application could be your next move. Looking to restore the craftmanship with timeless function that will last a lifetime? Let Upstate Chimney install our Leadax lead-like flashing system. The craftsmanship, beauty, and durability of lead flashing, without the toxicity or scrap value of traditional lead flashing.

Caps
Did you know every chimney, whether in use or not, should have a cap? This is because flues without caps invite critters into your home, and rain to deteriorate your masonry from the inside out. Special caps can also solve excessive buildup or draft issues. Upstate Chimney provides quality cap installs with a lifetime manufacturer warranty. Caps come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors- totally customizable to suit your needs.

Liners
Stainless steal flue liners are the new standard when it comes to chimney venting systems. Most chimneys servicing today's appliances require it. Upgrading to a steel liner will improve draft, lessen heat transfer to the masonry, sweep cleaner and easier, and bypass any cracks, spalling, or deteriorating masonry flues that would otherwise make the chimney nonfunctional. Liners come with a lifetime warranty and are tax exempt as they qualify as capital improvement. They increase the value of your home (and home inspectors like to see them too!). Upstate Chimney Professionals can help you with deciding if a liner is right for you, and provide an estimate for installation.
Resurfacing

A well-built chimney can last for many years, but you need to put the work into maintaining your chimney for a long life. In upstate New York, we know a thing or two about the outside elements! Waterproofing your chimney can keep moisture from damaging your masonry over time. A few hundred bucks well spent on waterproofing today can save you a few thousand in masonry repairs in the future.

Soldaguard
Soldaguard is a non-toxic, natural, oil-based, and FDA-approved disinfecting treatment designed for use with a dry fogging machine to sanitize HVAC systems, surfaces, and air in homes, vehicles, and businesses. The dry fog penetrates hard-to-reach areas, killing 99.9% of bacteria, viruses (including COVID-19 and influenza), odor causing bacteria, mold, and fungi on contact without leaving residue. It is human, pet, technology, and fabric safe. The process takes less than 15 minutes and can easily be added on at the end of your annual inspection.
